Everyone, meet Maddie- a gorgeous, super hilarious senior at Windsor High School! I loved shooting with her and getting to know her family and friends.

You're a senior! Can you believe it? How does it feel?

Being a senior hasn't really hit me yet. Even in the mindset that high school is going to last forever, I know I need to take advantage of all the opportunities that come my way, and that's what I am trying to do: enjoy every moment as it comes.

Describe how it felt walking onto campus on your first day of school as a freshman

Honestly kind of overwhelming. I came from Cali Calmecac, very small school, and there were so many people. It was weird being so young, there is a huge difference between an 18 year old and a 14 year old.

What are your plans for next year?

Right now I’m not sure, it's really up in the air right now.

What will you miss most about WHS?

I’m going to miss all of my great friends that I am going to be leaving behind and the lack of responsibilities I have as a high schooler.

What has been one of your favorite memories in high school?

I’ve had so many great memories in high school; however one of my favorites would have to be when I “dated” my first boyfriend. There was this guy, we both liked each other, so he decided to ask me out. My friend thought it would be a good idea to tell me that he was going to do that. It wasn’t. As soon as I saw him walking over I left really fast. I was freaking out. Eventually, I came back and he handed me a baseball card with tape on it, saying “will you be my girlfriend?”. I said yes, and for the next 3 days we stood next to each other. We didn’t know what to do, neither of us had dated anyone before, and we were both really awkward people. So on the third night he sent me this long text on how bad of a boyfriend he had been, and whatnot. I thought that was so weird because it had only been 3 days, like what could you have done right or wrong really. So we somehow broke up, I don’t even know how that worked, pretty sure it will go down as the weirdest dating experience either of us will ever have.

Do you know what you want to study yet? If so, what and why?

I want to major in political science, and then follow that up with law school. Eventually making my way into the political system hopefully.

What activities/clubs/sports/hobbies are you involved in?

I’m involved in too many to count: Debate, golf, youth group, softball, basketball, student servants, girl scouts, and of course eating and sleeping.

Any high school accomplishments that you feel particularly proud of?

I’m super proud of my grades, that is something that I can hold up and tell people about it. What makes it even better is I can keep those grades even while my schedule is so full.

What's one of your favorite quotes and why?

This is my favorite because it is a perfect way to think. God has a plan for your life, so you have no need to worry. It also restates the idea that everything happens for a reason.
