Baby Reyes: the 9-Mo Old Mechanic

Baby's 9 months! What have the last 9 months been like?

The last 9 months have been truly amazing and exciting. Seeing Baby grow, change and learn things is so rewarding. We have never been so happy and so tired at the same time.

If you could pick 3 adjectives to describe his personality, what would they be and why?

Happy, easy going, and very adventurous. This kid has no fear!

What has been your favorite memory with him so far?

I have so many favorite memories; the first time he really liked the bath tub was a great memory, seeing him finally crawl when he was almost 6 months was exciting, and hearing him say "Mama" when I was about to take a shower melted my heart. Dad was a little jealous ;)

What qualities do you think he gets from you and what qualities does he get from his dad?

His expressions are a bit of both of us. His smile is all his dad, hair and dimples too. He is a little dare devil like his dad but he's very curious like his mama. He loves dogs and is willing to try any food he gets- that from his mom; dad is picky.

What advice do you wish someone had given you, being a new mom and raising a child? What advice do you have for other new moms?

Sometimes the biggest surprise is the best blessing. I wasn't planning to have a child so soon, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but you really do learn as you go and by trying your best; that's all that matters! Time goes by super fast, so cherish every moment you have while they are young. I wish someone had told me how much room babies take with all their stuff and toys!
