Windsor High School Class of 2016: Valerie

I'm excited to kick off the new year with one of my favorite galleries! I've known Valerie since she was a toddler and I can't believe what a beautiful young woman she has turned into! Soccer star, intelligent, gorgeous- this girl has a lot going for her. Let's hear what she has to say about being a senior!

What has been your favorite high school memory?

My favorite high school memory was playing on the high school soccer team for four years. Being able to play Varsity for three years was a great experience and allowed me to make a lot of memories, including Senior Night, team dinners, and end of the year banquet.

What are your plans after high school?

My plans after high school are to play soccer at Humboldt State University, and to study Kinesiology, which hopefully will lead to me becoming a physical therapist.

What was the best lesson you learned in high school?

The lesson I have learned probably the most during the four years of high school I would have to say is to never give up. I really learned this lesson during high school soccer, because with me making JV my freshman year, it really taught me that no matter the amount of downs, I might have to keep pushing and to not give up because in the long run, it will benefit.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself working in the field of physical therapy, where I can help others with sports or any type of injury as it is always inspiring seeing others grow and recovering from injuries.

What will you miss most when you move to Humboldt?

When I move to Humboldt, I will definitely miss my family the most, as they have always been there at soccer games supporting me, and it will be different not always having them there at every single game. Not only have they supported me with sports, but also academically.
